Data & methodology.
Every number on this site traces to a public, verifiable source. Here is exactly where each block comes from and how often it refreshes.
Sources, block by block
- Exempt-offering filings & mix — SEC EDGAR full-text search system (Forms D, 1-A, C). Public domain. Refreshed daily.
- SEC Regulatory Watch — Federal Register API, filtered to the Securities and Exchange Commission. Public domain. Refreshed daily; open comment windows flagged from the official comments close date.
- Treasury yield curve & 10Y/2Y — US Department of the Treasury daily par yield curve. Refreshed daily; the dashed line is the curve ~one month (21 trading days) earlier.
- Inflation & unemployment — US Bureau of Labor Statistics public API (CPI-U series CUUR0000SA0, unemployment LNS14000000). CPI shown as year-over-year change.

- Retail attention — ApeWisdom aggregation of r/wallstreetbets ticker mentions. Attention data, not a quality signal.
- Headlines — GDELT DOC 2.0, queried for private-capital coverage. Links go to the original publishers.
- FX / crypto reference — Frankfurter (ECB rates) and CoinGecko.
Update cadence
A single server-side job pulls every source once per day, normalizes it and stores a cached copy. Pages read only from that cache — if a provider is temporarily down, the last good data remains visible with its original timestamp. No source is ever called live from your browser.
Editorial standards
- Analysis is educational; we hold no positions in the issuers or securities discussed.
- Aggregate filing statistics are shown as market context — we do not publish deal-sourcing lists.
- Regulatory thresholds cited (offering ceilings, investor caps, filing deadlines) come from SEC rules and are periodically inflation-adjusted; always confirm the current numbers with counsel.
- Corrections: material data errors are corrected in place with the refresh cycle.
